We’ve almost got our nice set of dishcloths complete.
Only one more after this one, and it will be published later today.
Mod Teresa chose today’s dishcloth. If you know anything
about Teresa, you know that she loves owls, so her choice should not surprise
you. Teresa learned to crochet from her mom and grandmother,
and has been hooked for over 40 years now. She works mostly with Red Heart and
Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn as they are most easily obtainable.
Her favorite projects have been the Mr. Ghan Afghan and
the First Ladies Commemorative Afghan. She really liked the stories and
projects on these two designs, as they were interesting and fun to do. She
appreciates all of the time and effort put into the making of these designs.
She also loves her Mandala Madness by Helen Shrimpton. It resided on her bed
for over a year after it was completed.
Teresa is also a crochet designer. She started by
designing doll dresses for her My Size Barbie. She has designed some very nice
afghan blocks as well as complete afghans. Take a look at her Ravelry store and see what she’s been up to.Teresa Lynne's Ravelry
Store.
Like most of us, Teresa likes to watch TV while hooking.
Some of her favorite shows are NCIS, Bull, Scorpion, Criminal Minds, and
several true crime shows on the ID channel. Me, too! I watch that channel
nonstop.
Next on her craft list is knooking. She wants to
knit, but doesn’t like the traditional method. She’s hoping that knooking will
help her knit in a more comfortable way. Maybe we'll start seeing some new knook designs???
Teresa’s crochet tip:
“Keeping an even tension is key. Always play with hook size until you find the
one that works best for you, no matter what the yarn manufacturer says.”
