I found the poem and a 'refrain' in a book about twenty-five years ago. I have not been able to find the rest of it on the internet. When ever I hear the poem, it makes me weep. Thank you for the history lesson and the beautiful square. :-)kwrighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02376897083657174237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6698075481434449575.post-6468851669247687132014-12-11T21:51:58.094-06:002014-12-11T21:51:58.094-06:00I really enjoy your work and creativity. You have a beautiful gift of creativity; the history is wonderful for your family and graciously shared; and I thank you for it all. I collect patterns that I like, but I do not know when I will attempt to make them. The first instead of brown I'm going to use a dark green, then instead of the white a lighter shade of green, then the brown. To me that would represent the flowers , the fields where they grow then the earth that the men who gave their lives are lying.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6698075481434449575.post-8714615634243701512013-07-21T12:14:39.696-05:002013-07-21T12:14:39.696-05:00Beautiful pattern.
