Romantic Wrap

I do apologize for being AWOL for so long. I have to confess that I have been somewhat depressed for a while. I had somehow stopped taking my anti-depressants and a cloud depression settled over me the past couple of months. It's hard to realize what's happening at the time, but once I did, it's like a light bulb went off. I started back on my meds and felt better right away. Now I'm just about back to myself again. YAY! Those of you who suffer from depression know what I'm talking about. :) It's nothing to be ashamed of, and I consider it a package deal along with my other maladies.

Now that I've felt better lately, I was able to finish a shawl that I had started for my friend Kathy's February Birthday. It's called Romantic Wrap. Here's what the model looks like:

I used a local handspun, handpainted yarn and it turned out just beautiful. Here's what mine looks like:

Here's a link to the free pattern:

What do you think? Will my friend Kathy like it?

  2. You will never get her out of it. It is gorgeous and you certainly did a great job on it. I have MS and I also take anti-depressants and you are so right, if you forget it one time. You're done for. I'm so glad you are on the mend again. Take care.

  3. ditto and ditto That wrap is beautiful and I love the coloring. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis and degenerative disk disease in my back and am on Cymbalta and Lyrica right now. How would we live without them? lol
