With Color B and H hook,  ch 32.


Row 1 (RS): 2 dc into 5th ch from hook, 2 dc into next ch, *skip 2 ch, 2 dc into each of next 2 ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, skip 1 ch, 1 dc into last ch, turn.


Row 2: Ch 3, *skip 2 sts, 2 dc into each of next 2 sts; rep from * to last 2 sts, skip 1 st, 1 dc into tch, turn.


Rows 3 – 12: Rep Row 2. After Row 12, finish off, weave in ends, block to 8".

Add a round of dc around the square for a border. this will make the square 9". I used ecru for a contrasting color.
