Name This Square

Here is my latest 12" square. I will post the pattern after it has been tested, but it needs a name. I thought  it would be fun to hold a contest and ask for your suggestions. You can either post a comment with your name suggestion, or email me. If your suggestion is chosen, you will get credit for the name on the pattern document, as well as posted in this blog. If there are duplicate submissions, then the first one will take precedence. Make as many suggestions as you like. Doesn't this sound like fun?

  1. First, let me say that is a very nice looking square! It makes me think of window panes in frames, or frames in frames. So, what about Framed Frames? ;) Great job!!

  2. This square makes me think of Queen Anne Chocolate covered cherries. Maybe "Candy Shoppe Window?" Or, "Chocolate Covered Cherry Sampler?" Thanks for sharing this on "Granny Squares" the Ravelry Group!

  4. I'm not creative enough to think of my own entry, but I love Candy Shoppe Window or Granny's Window from other entries.
Can't wait until this one comes out. Very nice!

  5. How about "Chocolate Delight." It reminds me of a chocolate covered cherry too, one of my favorite treats!

  6. The center reminds me of a four leaf clover, even though it is red instead of green! How about Lucky Clover?

  10. Hello! I'm new to granny squares - yet to try one yet - but I found your work and Ravelry and followed it here.

Has anyone said Chocolate Covered Cherries yet?

My first thought though was Remember Me because the red flower reminds me of the poppies we wear in November here in Canada.

  11. Okay, my name is because of the colors you have used so it wouldn't fit when made with something else. But still my name is:

    Snow Covered Window

  12. "Light in the Window"

Immediately brought to mind the charm of a candle in the window to welcome family and friends.

  13. I'm like Terri . . it reminds me of Chocolate with cherries on the inside . . . I have a family tradition, that I have carried on since Dad died, of sending these cherries to his sister,my Aunt Ruth. Now that I live close to a chocolatier who makes these, sh no longer gets teh Queen Anne version . . but Platters' milk and dark chocolate covered cherries.

But, I digress . . .I would name this square "Memories of Dad" or "For Sis" because each Christmas, my buying the cherries and sending them reminds me of his love for his sister, who he always called Sis.

  15. Well, if it were green in the middle I would say the "Shamrock Square" but since it's not, I'll say the "Parfait Square"
